Summer Breeze

summer breeze

shadows in the moonlight

rock the boat

 A Handful of Stones (October 17, 2011)

        A Handful of Stones prefers haiku or poetry that describes a moment that is "freshly observed" so I thought about writing a haiku about this observation that I had while vacationing in Hawaii.     
     One reader of A Handful of Stones couldn't believe this. "Not on sand!?" he said. Oh, yes, indeed! They were right on the beach wearing their high heels and fashionable clothes. I wanted to let him know it wasn't a figment of my imagination. It's a good thing that another person made a comment saying that she loved my haiku and that she had seen this "moment" in Sydney and Thailand.
