Almost missed the train! So glad there was still one more "seat" for my tanka.
Thank you so much,Make the universe your companion, always bearing in mind the true nature of things—mountains and rivers, trees and grasses, and humanity—and enjoy the falling blossoms and the scattering leaves. ~Bashō

Rattled Haiku (edited by Corine Timmer)
A message from Corine Timmer:
Yay! Drumroll please. Rattled has arrived and is now for sale. I picked up the books this morning from the local printing company. Contributing poets can buy at cost price. Proceeds go to APOPO HeroRATs. Thanks to each contributing poet for sharing the Rattled journey with me. I hope you’ll love the book. Thanks also to Michael Dylan Welch, Charles Trumbull, Linda Papanicolaou and Djurdja Vukelic Rozic. Books can be bought directly from me and through my website www.bicadeideias.com The tree in this photo is a carob tree. Tree rats nest in it. I think I would too if I were a rat!

Seize the Poem: An Anthology
Thursday, May 22, 2014
Tanka Society of America News
1) I'm thrilled to be a new member of TSA. Because of this, I'll be receiving a complimentary copy of the member's anthology in the fall of 2014. Mr. M. Kei just emailed me recently that two of my tanka will be included in the anthology. Yay!
As soon as he emailed me, I sent him a short bio.
2) Entry for the annual TSA contest has been opened. I need to put on my thinking cap as I haven't come up with something yet to submit. Good thing, I still have a lot of time to write my poem and submit by the in-hand deadline of June 30, 2014. If you're interested, please see guidelines-
