     I haven't posted this tanka art which was published in Hedgerow: A Journal of Small Poems Issue #56 last November. This tanka was originally inspired by a prompt on Tanka Poets on Site (Facebook group).

Second Issue of Hedgerow Poetry Journal

     So delighted that my tanka sequence and haiga are appearing in the second issue of Hedgerow. Thank you, sweet Caroline, for featuring me among 12 other poets! It is a wonderful collection of poetry and artwork.  

 

     My untitled tanka sequence and haiga:

 

eternally lost
in a garden maze
I search for you
in places I need you
most

 

will I ever be loved
the same way as before
the willow hedges
of where we’ve been
still longs for you

 

entrenched
in my lonely heart
memories
like dandelions
full of wishes

 

before the day ends
counting morning glories
I have to accept
my life the way it is
without you
