I love the colors in the photo and the happy feeling in the haiku.
ReplyDeleteIt was difficult to combine the two prompts. I'm glad I thought of the word "prickly" so I could use this photo and the haiku. I think it works. :-) Yes, I believe the haiga brings out a happy feeling. :-) Thanks for regularly visiting my blog, Asni.
ReplyDeletealright ladies Chrissi and Asni - tell me where do you source such lovely photos from??? Do we need to email them for premission?? The colour of the umbrella is perfect against the blue sky. And of course the prickly heat...that bothers me a lot during summer!
ReplyDeletelol If you go to Glitter Graphics, you'll find out that you're free to use the photos as long as you don't use them for commercial purposes. I read the FAQ section. And as for this photo, I went to the same site where Leo borrowed a photo. I assume it's all right. I emailed the site and tried to contact the owner of the photo, too. We'll see what their response will be. I'm sure it's ok because if it's not, you'll not even be able to copy the photos. Just click "devianArt" above and it will lead you to all the wonderful photos.
DeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! :-)
DeleteI taste you coolness:)
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting again, Tom! :-)
DeleteWonderful haiga. I love the way you've used the prompt.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kristjaan! :-)

ReplyDelete(Thanks for your recent visit around my blog ... and the positive feedback about my note cards!!)
aloha Chistine - beautiful image. i like the composition a lot. and the composition in the sense of the haiga - ku placement.
ReplyDeletei especially like the last two lines - the taste of color. yeah. very cool. i may have to work on the connection between prickly heat and that tasting. for sure when i'm in that heat i'd like to taste those cool island colors. maybe in a shave ice (snow cone). which is what those colors make me think - mmmmm... mango orange. strawberry guava. kiwi lime and blue berry ...okay the island doesnt grow blue berries that i know of... still...
fun haiga just right for a very warm early autumn day with prickly heat. aloha.
Aloha Rick. I wish the photo was mine :-)
ReplyDeleteOh, I was waiting for you to say something about shave ice! That was the first thing that came to my mind. I like the combination of all the different colors and flavors. I have a photo of myself enjoying a cup of shave ice during my vacation in Waikiki. :-)
Yes, it's a warm early autumn where I live. Tonight I ate some frozen watermelon juice. Hmmmmm. Yummy!
