It's a tie between me, Kathy Uyen Nguyen, and Sandi Pray for the month of July! Wow! I'm so honored to receive the same number of votes as these gifted poets. winter night
a string of memories
opening past wounds
I don't feel bad that Tif isn't sending me a copy of this beautiful photo. I wrote a sad haiku, anyway. Yes, it blends perfectly with the photo, but I'd rather have a more cheerful haiga hanging on my wall like the one I received from Tif when I first won in March.
Kathy and Sandi haiku wrote such lovely haiku. They were my favorites, actually. Here they are below.
