March 2012 Winner

For two months, I've been a participant of Tif Holmes' The Collaborative Photo-Haiku ProjectSo, has it improved my writing? I believe it did. :-) With the daily visual stimuli generated by Tif's wonderful photography, I've been more open and spontaneous in writing haiku. I'm not saying, though, that all of my haiku posted on her website turned out to be outstanding. I just think because of her photos, I've been challenged to be more keenly perceptive and creative.
There were a couple of my haiku which I thought would have more votes. Surprisingly, this haiku made me the March winner, the print recipient of an 11 x 14 print of this photo. :-) I can't wait to frame it so I can hang it on my bedroom wall!

For now, I like my haiku the way it is, but I know it has more room for improvement. If you have any suggestion to make this haiku even better, feel free to comment. Or, if you have a haiku in mind after seeing this photo, please share it with me. Otherwise, let me know how much you like the haiku and/or photograph.

  2. Gisele, I trust your opinion. Thanks! Now I can stare at the haiga with more appreciation.

By the way, I'm still waiting for it in the mail.
