Setouchi Matsuyama Photo Haiku Contest

Early this afternoon, I had a wonderful surprise! An email from Japan informed me that my haiku has received an award at the Setouchi Matsuyama Photo Haiku Contest. Somebody else received the Excellence Award, but I'm one of the 8 poets whose haiku has been chosen from 500 entries. Haikuists from 20 countries participated. For the full details, read here.

  2. Thanks, Gisele. I just got the note from the post office. I can't wait to see what they have for me as a souvenir. :-)

  3. Stunning haiku and very beautiful dolls. Send me ONE!

You are a good haijin Chrissi, believe it. Go on developing your own style. Just avoid abstractions and stick to the moment. Congratulations.
Is this a monthly contest? How can I take part? The link does not help.

  4. lol. I'm keeping both of my dolls in a glass case!

Thanks for appreciating my haiku. :-) I know which haiku you're referring. I still believe that haiku I wrote still goes with the spirit of haiku though I agree with your correction about the punctuation. I'll be emailing about that haiku because Tif deleted my comment.

No, it's not a monthly contest that's why it doesn't show in the link. I'll let you know when I get some news regarding the next one. :-)
